This print (plate) is from the Album of Decorative Figures by J. Moyr Smith, published by Sampson Low, Marston, Searle & Rivington - Crown Buildings, Fleet Street, London in 1882. The plate is titled "Blow, Blow thou Winter Wind" and is the central figure of a group of three painted on a gold ground. The subject is one of six, from the songs of Shakespeare, done for Mr. John G. Grace. The sheet measures about 14.5" x 11" and, while rough around the edges, the artwork is intact with what appears to be sufficient room for matting and framing. These original plates are very scarce, as the Album of Decorative Figures by J. Moyr Smith is itself a very scarce volume. WorldCat lists only 21 copies in the world's libraries. Please examine images closely for condition and ask any questions before ordering.
