Moyr Smith was a prolific figure in the Aesthetic Movement, most famous for his ceramic tile designs for Minton’s, but he was also a highly skilled etcher and book illustrator. This plate, no. XLI, \"Blow, Blow, thou Winter Wind\" (the famous song from Shakespeare's As You Like It) belongs to a series of etched illustrations of Shakespeare's plays. This work was done for a Mr. John G. Crace. The sheet measures about 14.5\" x 11\" and, while a little rough around the edges, the artwork is intact with what appears to be sufficient room for matting and framing.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Red Hook Treasure","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":48078447083774,"sku":null,"price":55.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0768\/3263\/7182\/files\/JMS_Plate_41_6e067b1c-dd70-4507-897b-aa8043a27db8.jpg?v=1776373652","url":"https:\/\/redhooktreasure.com\/products\/john-moyr-smith-1882-print-blow-blow-thou-winter-wind-shakespeare","provider":"Red Hook Treasure","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
