Original unsigned oil painting on canvas, mid-20th century, most likely 1940s to early 1950s, in the lyrical abstraction tradition associated with Vasily Kandinsky's later work. Thin, translucent washes of color - dusty rose, ochre yellow, forest green, and powder blue - float across a soft gray ground, animated by loose calligraphic black line-work and warm horizontal bands suggesting a horizon or landscape reference. Unsigned; artist unidentified. Canvas measures 12" x 16.25" (unframed), oil on canvas. Good vintage condition with light craquelure and edge wear consistent with age; canvas shows original tacking margins. Please review photos closely as part of the description. A subtle, musical composition suited to a collector of lyrical or biomorphic abstraction.
