Mid-Century Modernist Architectural Cityscape Waterfront Oil Pastel on Paper

Original mid-century modernist architectural study in oil pastel on heavy paper, estimated 1950s–1960s. The work features a rhythmic, horizontal cityscape or industrial waterfront harbor, constructed with bold, gestural blocks of color and dark linear structure set against a water foreground and rainy/hatched sky. The composition highlights a vibrant palette of magenta pink, turquoise blue, bright lime green, black, rust red, and slate gray. The loose, energetic stroke work and geometric cubist-expressionist construction recall mid-century post-war urban and industrial landscape studies. Measures 12.5" wide × 8" High, unframed, unsigned.

Authentic vintage condition with light paper aging. Executed on a heavy paper card stock. Unframed, featuring a small tear/notch along the top edge near the center, minor corner rubbing, and light edge wear. Please inspect all high-resolution photographs carefully to evaluate paper aging, edge condition, and medium texture prior to purchase.
