Executed with dry-brush, scumbled layers and impasto line work, the composition combines vivid shades of sky blue, forest green, warm ochre, and deep black structural outlines over reflective, water-like foreground textures. The multi-arched stone bridge depicted resembles High Bridge, the historic 1848 span over the Harlem River connecting Manhattan and the Bronx and New York City's oldest surviving major bridge. On the reverse, the panel retains its original vintage MACY'S "SUPRE-MACY" Artists Canvas Panel black-and-gold paper label from R.H.
